Shipping Technician (UT, North Salt Lake)

About the role

This position is responsible for shipping packages and assists compounding and dispensing technicians with non-clerical duties. The Shipping Technician demonstrates a commitment to the mission of the Pharmacy and goals of Belmar Pharma Solutions / Medical Horizons.

Responsibilities

• Putting together boxes and organizing shipping materials, including freezing ice packs
• Working on the shipping line boxing up medication and applying the correct labels to each package
• Inventorying shipping materials
• Conducting job responsibilities in accordance with the Company’s Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, its policies and procedures, applicable federal and state laws, and applicable professional standards
• Performing minimal clerical duties
• Other duties as may be assigned

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work in a variety of positions and locations such as sitting, standing, squatting, kneeling, reaching, and walking for prolonged periods of time
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to use necessary equipment such as computers, scanners, or other technology devices as assigned

Qualifications

• Previous shipping or packaging work (preferred)
• Knowledge of safety protocols: familiarity with health and safety guidelines and OSHA regulations, with a focus on maintaining a safe working environment
• Forklift certification (preferred)
