Shipping Supervisor - NB

About the role

The Shipping Supervisor will lead and support the Shipping team to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant shipping operations. They will prepare, stage, label, and verify customer shipments, organize finished goods, and support warehouse operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support Shipping team members to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant shipping operations.
• Prepare, stage, label, and verify customer shipments according to pick lists, packing slips, and shipping instructions.
• Review shipping documents for accuracy and report non-conformances or issues as needed.
• Organize finished goods and warehouse areas while supporting food safety, SQF, GMP, HACCP, and safety requirements.
• Perform ERP system transactions, support inventory cycle counts, and assist with warehouse projects.
• Operate forklifts, hand trucks, barcode scanners, and other material handling equipment as needed.
• Cook with internal departments to support customer orders, shipping schedules, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Back up the Shipping Manager as needed.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED.
• A college degree preferred.
• 3–6 years of related shipping, warehouse, manufacturing, logistics, or distribution experience preferred.
• Previous supervisory, lead, or team coordination experience preferred.
• Forklift certification required.
• HazMat training required; DOT, IATA, and/or marine shipping experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand instructions in English.
• Strong communication, organization, attention to detail, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds and work in a warehouse/manufacturing environment.
• Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed.

Skills
