About the role

Midland Garage Door has been in business for over 45 years, offering a team of dedicated staff, excellent customer service, and quality products. We are looking for an experienced supervisor to help lead our production team to success.

Responsibilities

• Schedule production to meet established lead times
• Prioritize tasks effectively to eliminate back orders
• Prepare truck paperwork and set up trailers to ensure correct product loading
• Pre-pull all necessary products for each truck
• Ensure all sections are pre-counted and recorded for location
• Communicate with Department Heads and Plant Manager on timelines
• Load trailers based on customer and order to avoid product damage
• Communicate with office personnel when paperwork is complete
• Ensure post paperwork is complete and handed off to designated recipients
• Complete final checks of trucks to ensure no mistakes
• Interact with office members and production teams as needed

Supervisory Responsibilities

• Maintain a high level of quality to eliminate mistakes
• Train, coach, and motivate your team
• Review, praise, discipline, or terminate employees as needed
• Ensure compliance with safety and company policies
• Keep overtime hours to a minimum
• Approve timecards and time-off requests based on workload
• Delegate tasks effectively to team members
• Resolve conflicts in a professional manner
• Strive for continuous improvement

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required
• 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
• 1+ year of people-leading experience
• Must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S.
• Candidates offered employment are required to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check
