Shipping Supervisor
About the role
Direct, coordinate, and plan daily warehouse storage, distribution, and overall operations. Supervise shipping personnel while building a strong team through effective coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback. Maintain inventory integrity through cycle counts, monthly/yearly physical inventories, and min/max safety stock management. Enhance operational efficiency by optimizing warehouse processes and maintaining clean, secure work areas. Prepare reports, recommendations, and analysis to support key logistics decisions.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as a warehouse or shipping/receiving supervisor
- Bachelor's Degree in Logistics or Business Management
- Strong practical problem-solving ability to navigate variables with partial standardization
- Excellent written and oral communication skills for leading teams and presenting reports
- Solid mathematical capabilities to analyze metrics, compute rates/ratios, and interpret bar graphs

Work Environment
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts and is frequently exposed to airborne particles. Proper protective equipment is required as needed.
Physical Demands
Regularly required to talk and hear; frequently required to sit, use hands/fingers, handle/feel objects, and reach. Occasionally required to stand and walk. Specific vision abilities required include close and distance vision.
