Shipping Room Operator, Overnight, Dairy - Dacula

About the role

Load and unload trailers, operate Palletizer and sit down forklift and clamp truck, operate/maintain/clean equipment, complete necessary paperwork, and assist with training new associates at leadership's discretion. Participate in continuous improvement of work processes, team skills, and technical skills, and assist in all areas of the department when needed.

Requirements

• Ability to operate sit down forklift and clamp truck
• Ability to lift up to 50+ pounds
• Ability to pull 180–200 pounds across a slick surface
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours
• Continual bending, reaching, pulling, carrying, lifting, and walking
• Excellent safety work habits
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic math
• Ability to perform steady and productive work for an extended period
• Willingness to assist other team members in other areas
• Ability to work independently with little supervision
• Good time-management, problem-solving, and analytical skills
• High level of maturity, discretion, tact, and judgment
• Ability to work in a cold environment
• Ability to learn all aspects of the cooler

Year-End Bonus

To reward associates for their contributions for the calendar year, Publix provides a Holiday Bonus in November. In the first year of continuous employment, the bonus equals 15 hours of pay; in the second year, it equals one week's pay if the associate remains employed through the issue date of the bonus check. In subsequent years, the bonus equals two weeks' pay.
