Responsibilities
- Drive stand-up forklift/walkie truck
- Monitor the radio and answer calls promptly
- Complete yard truck inspection at the start of your shift
- Inspect trailers for cleanliness
- Unload potato trucks
- Grade potatoes
- Move trailers
- Keep the lot organized
- Check all trailer temperatures every 4 hours
- Maintain cleanliness of the outside area and bin room
- Complete all required paperwork
- Perform other duties as assigned
Areas of the facility may include controlled temperature zones, refrigerated spaces, and environments with noise levels requiring PPE. Work environment is 90% facility-based and 10% office-based.
Requirements
- High School Diploma
- Ability to be trained on a forklift
- Knowledge of operating a yard truck (spotter)
- Preferred experience in a production environment using a forklift
- Problem-solving skills and ability to recognize new opportunities
- Ability to work in a multi-task, deadline-oriented environment
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
