Shipping/Receiving Team Lead

About the role
This position operates on the 2nd shift (5:00 PM – 3:30 AM, Monday – Thursday) at our North Platte facility located at 1120 Industrial Ave.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all team members work safely and in a safe environment through daily department safety walks and proper PPE usage.
- Operate forklifts safely throughout the facility, adhering to all safety rules and regulations.
- Replace pallets/runners as needed to maintain a safe working environment.
- Lead, encourage, and motivate the team with dignity and respect.
- Use communication boards to keep the team informed of department performance and address deficiencies.
- Maintain and update standard work to define best practices and implement process improvements.
- Train and certify team members on standard work and audit operations for compliance.
- Verify incoming materials against packing lists for accuracy and log them upon receipt.
- Store stock in appropriate locations in standard rack quantities.
- Develop cost-effective truck routes for daily product delivery.
- Coordinate packing and staging of materials for shipment, ensuring efficient and safe loading.
- Maintain neat, organized, and safe outside storage.
- Verify all outgoing shipments are accounted for and communicate with leaders regarding load orders and timing.
- Record and document back-order shipments and prepare LTL shipments with accurate records.
- Drive yard trucks and back trailers for loading as needed.
- Perform any other assigned duties.

- Ability to read and understand bills of materials.
- Regular attendance and timeliness to avoid disruptions in production and customer service.
- Adherence to all operational and safety SOPs.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
- 1-2 years of experience in the field or a related area is a plus.
Skills
Essential physical requirements for this role include:
- Ability to stand for 10-12 hours straight.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Capability to perform repetitive movements (hand, arm, leg; bending and twisting at the waist; bending at the knee; squatting; lifting, pushing, and pulling 60 pounds).
- Ability to withstand exposure to temperature extremes and uncomfortable noise levels.

Pay
The hourly pay rate range for this position is $25.47 plus shift differential and benefits. Base pay varies within the range based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
