Shipping & Receiving Specialist

Ranew's Companies is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Specialist to join our team in Waterloo, IA.

• Oversee and keep records of all shipping and receiving activities.
• Organize, sort, and transfer goods between locations.
• Maintain proper packaging techniques and shipping practices.
• Update inventory records and collaborate with procurement staff on expected deliveries and receiving shipments.
• Sign paperwork upon receipt of shipments.

Location: Waterloo, IA
Salary: $15 - $21 / hour (starting pay is based on experience and shift)

Responsibilities

• Able to obtain product orders, including receiving deliveries, registering them, and distributing packages and parts within the company.
• Maintain company stocks through organizing, cleaning, and cataloging items on a regular basis.
• Schedule large shipments and plan logistics to ensure sufficient storage space for incoming items and staff availability.
• Prepare regular shipping and receiving reports for managers.
• Ensure adherence to environmental management and systems.
• Troubleshoot shipping issues and customer complaints, working to solve them.
• Package, lift items as necessary, operate forklifts and pallet jacks for large goods.

Qualifications

• Ability to handle light lifting and operate forklifts/pallet jacks.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
