About the role
Reports to: Distribution Center Supervisor. Responsible for processing material movements within the Distribution Center to support day-to-day operations of receiving raw materials and processing outbound shipments to meet customer demand.
Responsibilities
- Keep safety as the #1 priority in all functions within the Distribution Center, with an emphasis on housekeeping.
- Comply with and uphold all company rules and policies.
- Operate forklifts and hand tools required to build shipping boxes and skids.
- Proficiently use system transactions in the warehouse management system (SAP).
- Load and unload trucks.
- Build shipping boxes and skids when applicable.
- Safely and accurately put items into and take items out of the racking system.
- Perform cycle counts on a periodic basis.
- Communicate and work in a team environment.
- Perform housekeeping duties.
- Perform other duties as requested by management.
Requirements
- High school graduate.
- Proficient in the use of a computer.
- Experience in warehousing is a plus.
- Detailed-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
