Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Overseeing the proper loading, unloading, and handling of goods and materials.
- Ability to load trucks according to loading layouts
- Ensure all loads are strapped in accordance with D.O.T. rules and regulations
- Inspect containers as necessary
- Must be able to operate power industrial equipment
- Validating the received materials and goods with the invoices to ascertain the precision of the goods delivered
- Ensuring the completion of all paperwork relating to the received goods and processing of the bills of lading
- Understand paperwork, get signed copies of bills of ladings and understand BOL’s, pick sheets and other shipping paperwork
- Ensuring the proper handling and stocking of goods in compliance with warehousing and storage requirements
- In charge of receiving supplies and materials into the Warehouse
- May assist in monitoring the warehouse records and inventory and filing reports of discrepancies in quantities and damages to the supervisor
- Communicate with fellow workers, Supervisors and Managers
- Responsible for following Plant specified job specification, task list and completion of all requirement paperwork
- Responsible for conducting him/herself in a safe manner and adhering to all required safety protocols and policies, including safe driving practices
- Required to wear PPE properly in accordance with company standards
- Keep the area around your workstation clean and free from dirt and debris; this may include cleaning assigned areas of the building or pieces of equipment as instructed by your supervisor
- Must be able to work assigned shifts, including working overtime and attending after shift meetings as needed
- May be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma / GED
- 1 – 3 years of related experience
- CDL is required
- Must possess current driver’s license

- The employee is frequently required to stand and walk and required to reach with hands and arms and stoop/crouch, bend or twist
- The employee is occasionally required to push, pull, and/or move material and work in awkward positions, such as underneath equipment, or working around machines in operations area.

- The noise level in the work environment is usually high with ear protection required as posted
