Shipping & Receiving Dock Worker

Responsibilities

  • Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.
  • Load and secure outgoing shipments according to company and carrier requirements.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Verify packing lists, bills of lading, and shipping documents.
  • Accurately record received items and maintain inventory organization.
  • Prepare products for shipment, including labeling, wrapping, and staging.
  • Maintain a clean, organized dock and warehouse area.
  • Collaborate with warehouse, purchasing, and production teams to ensure smooth workflow.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Previous warehouse, shipping/receiving, or logistics experience is a plus.
  • Forklift certification or willingness to obtain one.
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
  • Basic computer skills for inventory and tracking systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication abilities.
