Key Responsibilities
- Cook up shipment schedules and delivery priorities with internal teams.
- Provide updates on shipment status, delays, and discrepancies.
- Serve as a contact for shipping, receiving, and inventory inquiries.
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders.
- Prepare outgoing shipments, including packaging and labeling.
- Enter and maintain accurate data in inventory and tracking systems.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of materials following company guidelines.
- Cook with warehouse staff and drivers for efficient material handling.
- Communicate with vendors, suppliers, and carriers regarding shipments.
- Support internal material requests and ensure timely fulfillment.
- Document and report damaged, missing, or incorrect shipments.
- Communicate daily priorities and updates with team members.
- Support team efficiency and adherence to processes.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized warehouse environment.
Desired Skills And Experience
- Education & Credentials: High school diploma or equivalent required. Forklift certification (or ability to obtain) preferred.
- Experience: 1+ years of experience in warehouse, shipping/receiving, or logistics preferred. Experience with inventory systems or shipping software is a plus.
- Technical & Professional Skills: Knowledge of shipping, receiving, and inventory control procedures. Ability to safely operate forklifts and warehouse equipment. Basic computer skills, including inventory systems and Microsoft Office. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
Additional Notes
The role may involve physical activity (lifting, loading/unloading, standing). Work performed in a warehouse environment. Additional duties may be assigned to support team and operational goals.
