Description
The Shipping & Receiving Clerk/Coordinator manages the flow of incoming and outgoing materials, ensuring accurate documentation, inventory tracking, and timely delivery. This role supports operational efficiency by verifying shipments, coordinating logistics, and maintaining a safe, organized workspace.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in receiving, warehouse, shipping, or logistics operations preferred.
- Ability to receive, inspect, and distribute incoming deliveries from UPS, FedEx, and other courier services.
- Experience maintaining accurate receiving records, logs, and documentation.
- Proficiency with JDE or similar ERP systems preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to inspect trailers for safety, cleanliness, and compliance standards.
- Commitment to providing excellent customer service and maintaining positive working relationships across departments.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Knowledge of workplace safety practices, including proper use of required PPE.
- Familiarity with 5S, SQF, and food safety requirements preferred.
- Ability to maintain clean, organized work areas and follow company policies and procedures.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to perform additional duties as assigned and adapt to changing business needs.
