Shipping & Receiving Clerk

About the role

The Shipping and Receiving Clerk receives materials from both internal and external suppliers. The role involves the distribution of received materials to designated areas and coordinating the transportation of materials between buildings.

Responsibilities

• Offload and load shipments.
• Verify data on packing slips match product received.
• Inspect incoming product for damage and notify proper personnel.
• Organize system build components on Job kitting carts.
• Manage the internal inventory stock area.
• Operate forklift (training provided).
• Observe safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Back-up for Logistics Coordinator (FedEx, UPS Shipping).
• Plan and prepare job kitting carts for new jobs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School degree or GED, required.
• 2 years’ work experience required.
• Previous receiving experience required.
• Forklift experience required.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

• Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, push, pull, use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk or hear, and smell.
• Sometimes lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted.
• Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Work environment is primarily performed indoors around moving mechanical parts at a moderate noise level.
• Occasionally perform work outdoors in all types of weather.
• Wear safety equipment, including proper PPE.
