About the Role
The Shipping/Receiving Clerk is the front-line role for processing orders and rectifying inventory issues.
Responsibilities
- Maintains inventory integrity by performing cycle count activities and all other related functions.
- Fills and issues orders and/or back orders to authorized personnel.
- Maintains housekeeping practices in the shipping and receiving areas.
- Loads trucks and UPS shipments.
- Performs basic machine assembly when necessary.
- Indicates routing and arranges for proper shipping procedures.
- Abides by all policies, procedures, and guidelines of the company, including good common sense safety practices.

Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) plus three years related shipping/receiving experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of experience and training.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively to other employees of the organization.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
A background and drug screening will be conducted for employment purposes.
