Shipping/Receiving Clerk

Keep Aviation Moving: Shipping/Receiving Clerk | $24.88/hr | 1st Shift PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leader in the aviation industry to hire a Shipping/Receiving Clerk in Sterling, VA. If you're organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in shipping, receiving, inventory, and material handling, this is your opportunity to play an important role in supporting aerospace manufacturing operations. You'll help ensure critical materials are received, tracked, stored, and delivered accurately so production teams have what they need, when they need it.

Responsibilities

• Perform shipping, receiving, and inventory management activities
• Receive and inspect incoming materials and shipments
• Unbox, box, pack, and prepare materials for shipment
• Put away materials using a forklift and reach truck
• Track and issue materials in accordance with established procedures
• Record customer and material transactions in SAP
• Perform accurate and timely data entry
• Maintain inventory accuracy and material traceability
• Assist with stockroom organization and inventory control
• Work closely with logistics and quality personnel to resolve material issues
• Follow applicable quality, safety, and regulatory procedures
• Lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent vocational/technical education
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
• Ability to obtain and maintain forklift certification
• Experience operating a reach truck
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.

Skills

• Previous stockroom and cycle count experience
• Experience using SAP or another database-based receiving/inventory system
• Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
• Previous shipping, receiving, warehouse, inventory, or aerospace materials experience
