Shipping & Receiving Clerk
Job Requirements
Inputs inventory control data for government contracts; establishes and maintains shipping and receiving records to assure that the quality, condition of product, and quantity match purchase orders.
Supply production departments with material requirements from material requisitions; properly document transfer of material and goods to work-in-process.
Documents and records all purchase orders for subcontract work; verify subcontract material receipts and shipments.
Checks for accuracy of inputted and extracted data; refer discrepancies to supervisors and obtain correct and verifiable information.
Process inbound packages and shipments, verify against Purchase Order, and deliver to appropriate personnel, or put away into bin location and record the transaction systematically.
Assure outgoing shipments are complete and accurate, i.e., appropriate wrapping, labeling, packing slips, bill of ladings and the like.
Must be able to adhere and follow all safety procedures and use appropriate PPE as required.
Responsible for completing inventory cycle counts as assigned.
Responsible for ensuring that critical inventory movements are completed daily.
Other Experience and Qualifications
One (1) to two (2) years experience in performing similar duties as those required by the position is highly desirable; must have good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills and possess a good work ethic.

About the Role
Position maintains a wide scope of simple to complex responsibilities in the Shipping & Receiving department; i.e., performs research and compiles data as required of the assigned position; responsible for inputting data into computer systems, i.e., materials/inventory receipts and transfers, production data, shipping and vendors data, and similar data entry functions.

Minimum Education Level: Bachelor's Degree
Skills
Utilization of pallet jack and fork lift to perform job responsibilities is essential.
