Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping Coordinator to manage and oversee the day-to-day shipping and receiving operations. The ideal candidate will ensure timely, accurate, and cost-effective shipments while maintaining quality control throughout all phases of the shipping process.

Responsibilities
- Coordinate shipments: Manage and schedule outbound and inbound shipments while ensuring compliance with company policies and international shipping regulations.
- Prepare shipping documents: Generate shipping labels, bills of lading, and other required documentation for domestic and international shipments.
- Track shipments: Monitor the status of shipments to ensure timely delivery and address any delays, damages, or issues that arise during transit.
- Communicate with carriers and suppliers: Liaise with logistics providers, shipping companies, and suppliers to negotiate shipping rates, confirm pickup schedules, and resolve any delivery discrepancies.
- Inventory management: Assist in maintaining accurate records of inventory movements, including tracking incoming and outgoing products, and updating inventory levels in the system.
- Ensure compliance: Adhere to all shipping regulations, including those related to safety, customs, and hazardous materials.
- Collaborate with departments: Work closely with the warehouse, sales, and customer service teams to meet delivery requirements and resolve any shipping issues promptly.
- Cost control: Identify opportunities for cost-saving in shipping operations without compromising on delivery quality or timelines.
- Reporting: Prepare and maintain shipping activity reports, including delays, returns, and cost metrics.
Requirements
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field preferred).
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in shipping, logistics, or a related field.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with shipping software (such as UPS, FedEx, or other carrier systems) and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, etc.).
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods of time.
- Skills: Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.Excellent communication and negotiation skills.Attention to detail and problem-solving mindset.Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Additional Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of customs regulations and international shipping requirements.Forklift certification is a plus.
