The Shipping/Receiving Clerk verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments, prepares outgoing shipments, and receives deliveries to the warehouse at the dock using warehouse management systems.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the preparation, creation, retrieval, validation, and storage of documents necessary to support the operation.
  • Label, pack, and load items for shipment according to specifications.
  • Stage shipments for shipping.
  • Accept shipments and prepare docks for receiving.
  • Operate stretch wrap banders and prepare pallets and crates for shipping.
  • Unload delivery vehicles and move items to the appropriate area.
  • Inspect for damage, compare items and quantities received against freight bills or other records, and document discrepancies.
  • Maintain records of all items received and shipped via warehouse management and inventory systems.
  • Check receipts against purchase orders for proper shipment, shortages, damages, or defects.
  • Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
  • Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.
  • Ensure facility is inspection-ready at all times for SQFI, FDA, and customer needs.
  • In CGMP environments, monitor proper inventory requirements: FIFO (First In First Out), Lot, and Age.
  • Assist with inventory cycle counts as needed.
  • Perform other applicable duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Associate’s degree or two years of equivalent experience preferred.
  • Minimum six months in a warehouse or distribution environment required.
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Excel.
  • Attention to detail and quality.
  • Ability to multitask in a safe manner.

Pay

The approximate pay range for this job is $20.18 - $30.24 per hour.
