The Shipping/Receiving Clerk verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments, prepares outgoing shipments, and receives deliveries to the warehouse at the dock using warehouse management systems.
Responsibilities
- Manage the preparation, creation, retrieval, validation, and storage of documents necessary to support the operation.
- Label, pack, and load items for shipment according to specifications.
- Stage shipments for shipping.
- Accept shipments and prepare docks for receiving.
- Operate stretch wrap banders and prepare pallets and crates for shipping.
- Unload delivery vehicles and move items to the appropriate area.
- Inspect for damage, compare items and quantities received against freight bills or other records, and document discrepancies.
- Maintain records of all items received and shipped via warehouse management and inventory systems.
- Check receipts against purchase orders for proper shipment, shortages, damages, or defects.
- Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
- Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.
- Ensure facility is inspection-ready at all times for SQFI, FDA, and customer needs.
- In CGMP environments, monitor proper inventory requirements: FIFO (First In First Out), Lot, and Age.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts as needed.
- Perform other applicable duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Associate’s degree or two years of equivalent experience preferred.
- Minimum six months in a warehouse or distribution environment required.
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Excel.
- Attention to detail and quality.
- Ability to multitask in a safe manner.

Pay
The approximate pay range for this job is $20.18 - $30.24 per hour.
