About the role
The Shipping & Receiving Clerk is responsible for preparing shipments, accepting deliveries, and managing the movement of packages and office equipment. Duties include sorting and distributing incoming and outgoing mail, processing outgoing mail, managing supply requests, and providing administrative support.
Responsibilities
- Pick up and move computer equipment, furniture, and office supplies using carts or small moving equipment.
- Collect and deliver office mail, packages, supplies, storage boxes, and hardware.
- Examine mail for proper addressing, seal envelopes, weigh items, and apply postage.
- Process and maintain records of certified, registered, and express mail.
- Manage requests via phone, email, or in person for office supplies, overnight delivery, and equipment repair/service.
- Fold letters, insert into envelopes, stamp, and dispatch as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1+ years of shipping/receiving, mail processing, or general office/administrative experience.
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications and internet usage.
- Working knowledge of USPS and FedEx procedures strongly preferred.
- 2+ years of shipping/receiving, ordering, packing, warehouse, or logistics experience.
- Missouri Board of Pharmacy Technician License (or ability to apply on Day 1).
- Ability to lift heavy boxes (gel packs) and perform most tasks while standing.
- Strong attention to detail, discretion with confidential mail, and customer service skills.
