Job Overview

The Shipping/Receiving team member supports the accurate and timely flow of materials into and out of the facility. This role performs receiving, shipping, inventory, material handling, and documentation activities while maintaining a safe and organized warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Receive, unload, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders, packing slips, and delivery documents.
• Prepare, package, label, and process outgoing shipments, including bills of lading and other required shipping documentation.
• Identify and report damaged materials, shortages, inventory discrepancies, or other receiving/shipping issues.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other warehouse equipment safely; forklift certification preferred.
• Maintain accurate inventory records, perform cycle counts, replenish stock, and properly store materials.
• Use ERP, inventory, or warehouse management systems to process and track materials and shipments.
• Coordinate with shipping carriers, freight providers, purchasing, production, and customer service to support timely material flow.
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized warehouse; must be flexible for overtime or occasional weekend work as business needs require.

Requirements

• Basic computer skills and experience using inventory management systems.
• Ability to read and interpret shipping documents, packing slips, and purchase orders.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferences

Previous experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, or inventory-related work preferred.
