About the role

VulcanForms is a company founded in 2015 dedicated to developing laser metal additive manufacturing solutions. We provide advanced digital infrastructure to accelerate growth and support sustainability across various industries like aerospace, defense, and medical.

Responsibilities

  • Cook up and sort materials by hand or using material handling equipment.
  • Manage verification, acceptance, and counting of received products as needed.
  • Input, update, and maintain accurate inventory records in systems as required.
  • Review and file documentation.
  • Coordinate the packing, shipping, receiving, and distribution of all products, packages, materials, parts, and goods required for shipments to appropriate locations.
  • Operate UPS World Ship computer program to prepare shipping labels.
  • Contact carrier representatives to obtain quotes, make arrangements, issue documentation, and handle returns.
  • Aid and support production control - process, coordinate, and manage all material entering and departing the company via our internal computer software system.
  • Handle shipping processes and documentation, including purchase orders, packing slips, goods receipts, and various carrier requirements.
  • Update purchase order status and inventory records in the system.
  • Resolve discrepancies between orders and goods; related to documentation, records, or counts, and follow up with employees, suppliers, or customers as needed.
  • Perform inventory cycle counting, manage shipping supplies as required, and requisition or order as needed.
  • Utilize best practices in locating and maintaining physical inventory.
  • Perform general housekeeping tasks within the shipping & receiving area, including 5S implementation.
  • Operate a forklift and pallet jack.
  • Make local deliveries and pick-ups using a company vehicle.
  • Adhere to and enforce the company's health & safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma with 3+ years of shipping/receiving and inventory control experience.
  • Knowledge of couriers (FedEx, UPS, etc.), including how to operate their respective software packages, and website processes.
  • Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and excellent computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Office Word and Excel.
  • Maintain neat, accurate, and complete records and work area.
  • Communicate and work effectively with suppliers, customers, and other departments within the company.
  • Ability to complete training as a forklift operator.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of standing or sitting.
  • Must use safety protection when and where required.
  • Able to perform the essential duties of the job and able to lift up to 60 lbs.

The hourly pay range for this position is $18.80-$25.80.
