Shipping & Receiving Assistant
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review shipping documents such as bills of lading, packing slips, and labels
- Verify order accuracy before shipment
- Aid in routing shipments and coordinating carriers
- Enter and update shipping information in company systems
- Communicate with drivers, carriers, and internal teams regarding shipments
- Track shipments and help resolve delivery or routing issues
- Maintain records and filing for shipping documentation
- Support the team with daily scheduling and shipment planning
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience in a warehouse, shipping, or logistics environment
- Experience preparing or reviewing shipping documentation (BOLs, packing slips, shipping labels)
- Familiarity with carrier routing processes and coordinating pickups
- Strong data entry and basic computer skills (Excel, order systems, email communication)
- Experience working with freight carriers, drivers, or transportation providers
- Ability to prioritize multiple shipments and meet daily shipping deadlines
- Knowledge of safety procedures within a warehouse or shipping environment
