Shipping/Receiving A Shift

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Material Handling professional to join our team. The successful candidate will visually inspect, assemble, and package products to customer specifications, and load, unload, and move materials within or near the plant, yard, or work site.

Responsibilities

• Primary responsibility will be to pull orders for assembly technicians and put parts in correct locations.
• This is an A‑shift position working 8 am–6 pm Monday‑Thursday; overtime may be required.
• Ability to participate and contribute in a team environment.
• Work with little or no supervision.
• Must follow all company policies and procedures.
• Maintain a good safety and attendance record.
• Willing to learn multiple shipping and receiving processes.
• Continuous heavy lifting involved.
• Computer and keyboard proficiency in a Windows environment, SAP, Excel and Word.
• Capable of basic math skills plus knowledge of decimals.
• Very conscientious to maintain inventory accuracy and customer service measures.
• Obtain certification to operate a fork truck.
• Willing to work overtime as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED highly desired.
• Six months experience in an industrial manufacturing environment highly desired.
• Physical ability to routinely lift and/or move up to 40 pounds; close vision and depth perception; routinely reach with hands and arms; frequently stand and walk; occasionally sit, stoop, kneel, or crouch.

Essential Job Functions

• Observe and follow all safety rules, plans, policies, and procedures.
• Work efficiently and achieve established production standards.
• Operate hoists and material handling equipment.
• Attach identifying tags or labels to materials.
• Operate lift trucks to load and unload material shipments.
• Pick up and deliver materials to and from storage and work areas.
• Via computer entry, maintain counts, weights, and material receipt and movement records.
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance; occasional overtime expected.
