About the role

This position is responsible for receiving and unloading incoming materials, verifying shipment accuracy against purchase orders, and processing return shipments from customers as needed.

Responsibilities

• Receive and unload incoming materials; compare information on packing slip with purchase order to verify accuracy of shipment
• Process return shipments from customers
• Sort, count, package, label, insure, unpack, and/or log inventory which is shipped or received
• Inspect shipments for damages or defects; record discrepancies or damages and notify supervisor and/or purchasing personnel
• Operate dolly, pallet jack, and/or forklift in loading and unloading supplies and equipment
• Follow established departmental policies, procedures, objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and/or infection control standards
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
