Shipping - Packaging

Job Duties

• Verify and make accurate counts on outgoing and incoming products.
• Pack products to protect during shipment to customers and suppliers.
• Unpack products returning from suppliers for processing.
• Keep inventory of packaging materials and supplies and notify GM for orders.
• Maintain lot traceability and identity of all products.
• Process shipments by picking and pulling orders for UPS and FedEx shipments.
• Receive incoming shipments and verify counts received with packing slips.
• Schedule inbound and outbound truck appointments.
• Maintain extensive shipping/receiving records tracking all movements of product.
• Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in tool rooms, supply rooms, or other areas.
• Mark stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment.
• Verify inventory, investigate discrepancies, and maintain supplies.

Requirements

• 1 to 3 years’ experience in assembly, shipping & receiving.
• Stable work history.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to handle multiple tasks and meet goals.
• Must be well organized.
• Must be very detail oriented.
• Manufacturing experience helpful.
