About the Role

The Packaging, Shipping & Receiving Associate is responsible for preparing products for shipment, receiving incoming deliveries, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring all orders are packaged safely and accurately. This position requires attention to detail, organization, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Package products securely to prevent damage during transit.
  • Prepare and process outgoing shipments using company shipping procedures.
  • Create Bills of Lading (BOLs) for freight shipments.
  • Schedule and coordinate shipments with carriers, including UPS and FedEx.
  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments for accuracy and condition.
  • Unpack, organize, and stock incoming inventory in designated locations.
  • Pick, pack, and stage customer orders for shipment.
  • Label packages accurately and complete required shipping documentation.
  • Maintain accurate shipping and receiving records.
  • Assist with inventory counts and report discrepancies.
  • Operate pallet jacks or other warehouse equipment as authorized.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily shipping and production goals.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift throughout the workday.
  • Must be able to lift and move boxes and materials weighing up to 70 pounds on a regular basis. Some packages may be heavy and require safe lifting techniques or team lifting when appropriate.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks using hands and arms.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous warehouse, shipping, receiving, or packaging experience is preferred but not required.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with shipping software are a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Forklift certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain certification).

Other Considerations

Certification: Certified Forklift Operations preferred, but training available upon hiring.

Work Environment: Production areas can be demanding, sometimes requiring additional hearing, eye, thermal, or other protection on the manufacturing floor. At a minimum, safety glasses and steel-toe (or equivalent) work shoes are mandatory PPE for any employee working in a Production area.
