Shipping Manager Needed in the Great State of Georgia

About the role

The Shipping Manager reports directly to the Yard Manager and is responsible for tracking and handling of materials, parts, products, and stock items. This position supports the daily operation of outgoing shipments and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Read Bill of Ladings and Shipping Reports.
• Maintain consistent communication with customers to ensure satisfaction.
• Oversee operations to ensure on-time delivery.
• Manage and motivate load building associates and commercial drivers.
• Schedule inbound and outbound shipments, resolve customer service issues, and communicate expectations with associates.
• Keep management aware of any delays or discrepancies with suppliers or shippers.
• Track and monitor inventory status and supply usage.
• Schedule yard transfers as needed.
• Review vendor invoices for potential discrepancies.
• Foster a fun and enjoyable work environment.

Pay

$60,000–$65,000 annually (based on experience).

Schedule

• Monday–Friday, 1st Shift (flexible).
• 40 hours per week with ability to work overtime as needed.
