About the Role

Hydro Extrusions, a global leader in aluminium extrusion with 100 production sites in 40 countries and 20,000 employees, is offering a position with a starting rate of $24.34/HR. Since 1905, Hydro has been transforming natural resources into valuable products, focusing on a safe and positive workplace for its 30,000 employees across 140+ locations.

Responsibilities

• Load trailers as assigned by Scheduler.
• Visually inspect trailers.
• Process load paperwork.
• Operate Yard Truck as necessary.
• Unload returns and outside processed material.
• Perform all other duties as directed by the department cell leader or manager.

Schedule

The typical schedule is 7:00 PM to 3:00 AM, Monday through Saturday. Employees will generally work five to six days per week. Shift hours may vary based on business needs.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing experience.
• Steady work history.
• Willingness to work any shift.
• Mobile Equipment Certification required (or ability to attain through Hydro training).
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Ability to exert force to tighten straps on loads.
• Extended periods of sitting on a forklift.
• Periods of walking and standing on concrete for extended periods.
• Exposure to extreme temperatures, wind, and rain.
• Availability to work weekends on a rotating continental schedule.

Qualifications

• Previous shipping experience a plus.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior Forklift Operator experience a plus.
• Previous experience driving a large commercial truck (Yard Dog) preferred.
• Experience with computer programs (AS400 and Excel) preferred.
• Team player with adaptability and self-starting abilities.
• Ability to prioritize needs and communicate effectively in English.
