Shipping Lead (Manufacturing)

Position Overview

We're seeking a Shipping Lead to oversee shipping and receiving operations, ensuring accuracy, timely deliveries, and a safe, organized work environment.

What You’ll Do

• Lead daily shipping and receiving activities
• Cook staff and workflow to meet shipping schedules and customer commitments
• Verify shipment accuracy and required documentation
• Ensure proper product placement in staging and storage areas
• Communicate with production, logistics, and other departments to resolve issues
• Coach, train, motivate, and provide feedback to employees
• Identify and implement process improvements
• Maintain accurate shipping and receiving records
• Keep work areas clean, safe, and organized
• Support hands-on shipping activities as needed

What We’re Looking For

• At least 3 years of shipping, warehouse, or distribution leadership experience
• Experience leading employees in a fast-paced operation
• Mechanical aptitude and manufacturing experience preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or degree a plus
• Working knowledge of shipping, receiving, inventory, and warehouse procedures
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office and warehouse/ERP systems
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to make decisions, adjust priorities, and address issues in real time
• Willingness and ability to work Wednesday–Sunday schedule

Schedule

Wednesday–Friday: 10:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.
Saturday–Sunday: 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.

Physical and Work Environment

This role involves standing, walking, reaching, bending, stooping, kneeling, handling materials, lifting up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds. It also requires working around moving equipment, trailers, loading areas, and changing temperatures in both indoor and outdoor settings.
