Key Responsibilities
- Cook up and schedule shipments, including customer samples, to ensure timely delivery of products.
- Prepare shipping documents, including bills of lading, packing lists, and shipping labels.
- Communicate with carriers, suppliers, and customers to arrange transportation and resolve any shipping issues.
- Monitor and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery and address any delays or discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate records of all shipping activities and update the shipping database.
- Collaborate with the warehouse team to ensure efficient loading and unloading of shipments.
- Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations and company policies.
- Aid in inventory management and perform regular stock checks.
- Provide excellent customer service and address any shipping-related inquiries or concerns.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.
- Proven experience in shipping coordination or a similar role, preferably in an industrial setting.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using shipping software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of shipping regulations and procedures.
Physical Capabilities
- Must be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. and performing various physical tasks such as reaching, climbing, and moving around an industrial warehouse.
