Shipping Coordinator

Key Responsibilities

  • Cook up and schedule shipments, including customer samples, to ensure timely delivery of products.
  • Prepare shipping documents, including bills of lading, packing lists, and shipping labels.
  • Communicate with carriers, suppliers, and customers to arrange transportation and resolve any shipping issues.
  • Monitor and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery and address any delays or discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate records of all shipping activities and update the shipping database.
  • Collaborate with the warehouse team to ensure efficient loading and unloading of shipments.
  • Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations and company policies.
  • Aid in inventory management and perform regular stock checks.
  • Provide excellent customer service and address any shipping-related inquiries or concerns.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.
  • Proven experience in shipping coordination or a similar role, preferably in an industrial setting.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using shipping software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of shipping regulations and procedures.

Physical Capabilities

  • Must be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. and performing various physical tasks such as reaching, climbing, and moving around an industrial warehouse.
