Shipping Coordinator

The Shipping/Receiving Coordinator at Smiths Interconnect, a Molex company, is based in Kansas City, Missouri. This role involves daily packing, shipping, and receiving activities, including maintaining shipping/receiving records, preparing shipments, checking items for accuracy, and processing shipments in the system.

About the Role

This position requires previous experience shipping both domestically and internationally, as well as experience generating customs/compliance documents. It also involves receiving activities, verifying item accuracy, and processing receipts in the system. In addition, during downtime, the coordinator may assist with other warehouse activities as directed by supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Prepare shipments and ensure accuracy before packaging.
• Make arrangements for shipment pick-up and delivery, when necessary.
• Process shipments in the system and work with UPS/FedEx managers online.
• Verify accuracy of items received and process receipts in the system.
• Assist with other warehouse activities as directed by supervisors.

Requirements

Previous experience in Shipping and Receiving in a Manufacturing Environment is required. Candidates should be able to interact professionally with multiple departments.

Experience working in Shipping and Receiving in a Manufacturing Environment is required. Candidates should also have the ability to generate customs/compliance documents and process receipts in the system.

Skills

Proficiency in using the company's shipping/receiving system and familiarity with UPS/FedEx management tools are essential. Strong organizational and communication skills are also required.
