Responsibilities

• Verifies all shortage and expedite logs are updated daily
• Verifies all service shipments are audited as required
• Oversees the 5S and organization of the warehouse and shipping office
• Reports all Logistics Basics Audits to the Supervisor as required
• Verifies all shipping procedures are followed and adhered to
• Supports and oversees the accuracy and timely delivery of all shipments from the Service Center location
• Ensures received product, WIP and Finished Goods are put away and pulled in FIFO order and on a timely basis
• Captures and maintains accurate shipping and receiving records
• Notifies designated couriers according to the shipping schedule
• Maintains customer required window times
• Verifies bills of lading, invoice and packing slips match and shipping schedules agree with shipment
• Enters returnable dunnage into customer portals and also into excel file log
• Keeps Warehouse Supervisor advised of recurring problems existing in the warehouse area which adversely affect work flow or inventory
• Manages Expedites and other Special Shipments
• Supports and fosters Continuous Improvement of Shipping dock area and processes
• Other related responsibilities as assigned by Supervisor
• Covers Shipping Dock Drivers / Schedules
• Ensures all Shipping Operations are conducted Safely in accordance with MIOSHA and Mann – Hummel Rules and Policies
• Plans, reviews and coordinates daily attendance, assigns and directs work of shipping material handlers
• Addresses, recognizes and discusses discipline for Shipping associates with Supervisor in accordance with the company policies and the law
• Ensures understanding and adherence to Standard Work and Logistics Basics

Requirements

• High school diploma / GED
• 1 year Experience with Microsoft Office software applications
• 1 year SAP Logistics Execution software experience
• 1 year Prior shipping experience
