Pay
$24.18 per hour
Responsibilities
- Operate forklift
- Take customer orders out of the inventory computer system
- Figure how the loads will best fit on the truck or rail car
- Load lumber onto truck or train without damaging the product
- Scan orders out of the inventory system and give driver a detailed ticket showing what is on the order
- Pick up broken boards and strapping
- Keep inventory in sheds straight
- Fix any lumber packages that are busted or damaged
- Follow all applicable safety rules
- Work regularly scheduled shifts
- Work scheduled overtime as required
- Work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
- Tally trucks and rail cars
Requirements
- Must complete forklift safety training course and obtain forklift certification
