Shipping Clerk on Second Shift

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prioritize and communicate intercompany transfer needs
• Identify and communicate customer order shortages
• Sales order fulfillment
• Use of transportation module to plan orders
• Print sales order pick lists
• Schedule and confirm transportation arrangements
• Communicate with carriers such as road, rail, air, and sea companies
• Ensure customer ASN’s are performed
• Adhere to the company’s safety standards
• Responsible for adhering to and maintaining the company’s ISO standards

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of 2 years shipping experience
• Experience using a computerized Warehouse Management System
• Experience with scanned pick and shipment preparation
• Knowledge of LTL shipment routing and classification of freight
• Good command of the English language and the ability to read and understand written instructions
• Able to perform basic mathematical calculations in order to accurately complete job tasks
• Able to effectively communicate with co-workers to aid in satisfying customer requirements
• Able to organize and prioritize job tasks and requirements
• Able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished written or orally in English
• Strong sense of urgency and attention to detail
• Able to communicate effectively via phone or email
• Computer proficiency utilizing ERP systems and software including Microsoft Outlook and Excel

Physical And Mental Demands

• Employee must be able to deal with multiple assignments and work well under pressure
• Steel-toed shoes are required for interaction in the warehouse
• Must be able to work in a manufacturing warehouse environment exposed to hot/cold temperatures and dust
