About the role
As Shipping Clerk at IFF, you will provide administrative support to the operations of logistical planning and assist in the maintenance of information systems, reports, and action plans via computer. This position is located in South Brunswick, USA and is fully onsite on the day shift.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to logistics planning through the preparation of documents, reports, and activities involving storage, handling, distribution, and transportation.
- Centralize information, consolidate budgets, and monitor costs and investments.
- Create reports of costs of operation, maintenance, and others in the area.
- Set up shipments in SAP for both customers and affiliates, creating delivery notes for sales orders and stock transfer orders.
- Send repack requests to the manufacturing department.
- Manage the pre-ship/co-ship sampling process to ensure timely shipments.
- Support customer service requests for changes, emergencies, and information transfer.
- Generate dangerous goods declarations when required.
- Submit relevant documents needed for export clearance in the USA and Canada and import clearance at the final destination of the cargo, including:
- Commercial invoice
- Packing list
- Certificate of analysis
- Certificate of origin (if needed)
- IATA DG/IMDG IMO
- Other country-specific documents for import clearance
- Support requests for tolling orders and R&D resupply.
- Monitor the department email inbox and pass on information to the appropriate parties.
- Communicate with forwarders/carriers regarding the collection of cargo.
Requirements
- 1-2 years of experience in a logistics environment and dealing with customer-related situations.
- Knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a demanding environment and solve problems as they arise.
- Customer-focused with strong computer skills.
- Adaptable to change and proficient in office etiquette, both written and verbal.

Pay
Salary range: $41,398.00 – $59,140.00 USD.
