Duties & Responsibilities: Sort and organize completed prescriptionsUse Pharmacy operating software and Dispatch and Routing softwareUse handheld Scanner to capture bar code digital informationPrepare packages for delivery: print Packing Lists, inspect for accuracy, stage, and routePerforming other duties as assigned Requirements Required Skills & Qualifications: Ability to multi-task and work with other members of the shipping and distribution team as well as Pharmacists and TechniciansUnderstanding of basic production processes for packaging and shippingAbility to develop continuous improvements in the shipping departmentBasic understanding of, or the ability to learn, locations and organizational structure of the companyAbility to correctly sort and distribute large amounts of medicationsAbility to understand and follow written and oral instructionsAbility to complete projects in a timely mannerAbility to work with little oversight and/or guidanceMust be able to speak and write English Preferred Skills/Abilities: FedEx Shipping / Overnight Shipping Experience is a PlusExperience working in a Commercial Pharmacy is a Plus Physical Requirements: Sitting, standing, walking, lifting, pulling, speaking, listeningMust be able to occasionally lift bulk packaging weighing up to 40 poundsMust be able to traverse close quarters easily Tarrytown is an equal opportunity employer and values diversity at our company.
