Responsibilities
- Receive incoming shipments, verify materials against purchase orders, and ensure deliveries are accurate and complete.
- Prepare, package, and label finished products for shipment to ensure materials arrive safely at their final destination.
- Coordinate deliveries with freight forwarders and support the preparation of shipping documents, including records needed for national and international shipments.
- Maintain accurate shipping and receiving records in SAP and organize records of goods shipped on a weekly and monthly basis.
- Investigate missing data, lost shipments, or damaged materials and share needed information with your supervisor or manager.
- Support a safe, clean, and organized work area by inspecting forklifts, using equipment safely, maintaining a 5S work area, and keeping the shipping area orderly.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Exposure to tools used in a manufacturing or warehouse environment, such as wire cutters, crimpers, ratchet wrenches, hammers, or similar tools.
- Comfortable working in a professional manufacturing environment with exposure to forklift traffic, production equipment, oil, dirt, and loud noise.
- Able to stand, walk, use your hands and arms frequently, and lift 35-50 lbs. when needed.
- Strong teamwork, communication, time management, organization, analytical, and written communication skills.
- Dependable and able to work on-site at the Humboldt, TN facility during core shipping and receiving hours, with flexibility based on business needs.
