Fetzer Architectural Woodworking of Salt Lake City, UT is seeking a full-time Shipping Clerk.
About the role
A shipping warehouse job involves managing the movement of goods in and out of a warehouse facility, including receiving, storing, and preparing shipments for delivery. This role typically includes verifying shipments, packing orders, loading and unloading trucks, and maintaining inventory records.
Responsibilities
- Build and load crates using power tools, table saw, panel saw, drills, and air tools to cut and assemble crates and pallets.
- Inspect incoming deliveries to ensure accuracy, check for damage, and confirm compliance with company standards.
- Sort, label, and store items in designated locations following inventory management protocols.
- Consistently lift and move heavy objects, more than 50 lbs; extended periods of heavy lifting and bending.
- Prepare orders for shipment by picking, packing, wrapping, crating, labeling, and shipping orders according to schedules.
- Use equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks to load and unload trucks and containers.
- Perform inventory counts, verify stock levels, and update inventory records.
- Maintain records of incoming and outgoing shipments, prepare bills of lading, and other shipping documents.
- Ensure the warehouse is clean, organized, free of hazards, and compliant with safety regulations.
- Communicate with supervisors, coworkers, and other departments to facilitate smooth operations.
- Address issues related to shipments, inventory, or logistics.
Requirements
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with shipping and receiving procedures.

Pay
