Responsibilities

  • Shipping Operations Order Preparation: Prepares and stages prescriptions for shipment using standardized workflows and AI-enabled verification tools to ensure accuracy, completeness, and readiness. Maintains high throughput while safeguarding product integrity, supporting scalable operations, and aligning shipment execution with regulatory, quality, and patient delivery expectations in a fast-paced environment.
  • Package Assembly: Assembles shipping containers, inserts medications, documentation, and temperature controls using AI-supported checklists to reduce errors and variability. Ensures packaging meets compliance standards, preserves product stability, and supports consistent quality outcomes while optimizing efficiency and minimizing rework across high-volume fulfillment operations.
  • Dispatch Execution: Executes shipment release and handoff processes with precision, leveraging AI insights to prioritize orders and meet service levels. Ensures accurate labeling, carrier coordination, and documentation while maintaining chain of custody, enabling timely delivery and supporting operational scale in a regulated distribution environment.
  • Quality and Compliance Regulatory Adherence: Follows 503A and 503B shipping regulations, internal SOPs, and documentation standards, using AI-assisted validation to ensure compliance. Maintains audit-ready records, minimizes risk, and consistently upholds Empower’s commitment to patient safety, product quality, and regulatory excellence in every shipment processed.
  • Error Prevention: Identifies potential discrepancies in shipping documentation, labeling, or product handling through structured checks and AI-driven alerts. Takes proactive corrective actions to prevent errors, reduce waste, and strengthen reliability, ensuring consistent adherence to quality standards and continuous improvement across shipping workflows.
  • Audit Support: Maintains detailed, accurate shipment records and traceability documentation, leveraging digital tools to support audits and inspections. Ensures all processes are verifiable, repeatable, and compliant, contributing to sustained operational readiness and reinforcing a culture of accountability and excellence.
  • Technology and Collaboration AI Utilization: Applies AI-enabled systems to enhance shipping accuracy, prioritize workflows, and improve decision-making. Uses data insights to identify trends, optimize performance, and support scalable fulfillment, positioning technology as a force multiplier for speed, quality, and operational consistency.
  • Cross Collaboration: Partners with pharmacy, quality, and logistics teams to resolve shipping issues, streamline processes, and ensure alignment with organizational goals. Communicates effectively to maintain workflow continuity, reduce delays, and support a coordinated, high-performing distribution operation.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously evaluates shipping workflows using performance data and AI insights to identify inefficiencies and implement improvements. Contributes to standardization, automation, and scalability initiatives, driving enhanced productivity, reduced cycle times, and sustained operational excellence in a growth-focused environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in pharmacy operations, shipping, fulfillment, or a regulated production environment.
  • Experience working with pharmacy systems, shipping platforms, or inventory management tools preferred.
  • Familiarity with 503A/503B environments, GMP practices, or healthcare operations is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in fast-paced, high-volume environments with strong accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proven track record of reliability, accountability, and adherence to standard operating procedures.
