SHIPPING CLERK- 2ND SHIFT

About the role

JBS is seeking an hourly 2nd Shift Shipping Clerk Team Member. The position starts at $22 per hour with a $1/hour Shift Differential. Benefits include paid vacation and holidays, medical, dental, and vision benefits, and a 401(k) plan.

Responsibilities

• Affords responsibility for the effective and timely completion of assigned inventory and shipping functions.
• Inventories finished goods as scheduled.
• Completes all inbound, outbound documentation.
• Processes local shipments as received.
• Processes picklists into computer and processes receipts as received.
• Ensures that outgoing orders and shipments are complete and correct.
• Identifies, tracks, and resolves inventory and shipping errors, problems, or delays.
• Assumes responsibility for ensuring that inventory and shipping functions are conducted in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Follows established safety and quality standards.
• Mets deadlines.
• Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining good communication, coordination, and working relations with company personnel and with management.
• Assists and supports area personnel as needed.
• Keeps management informed of area activities and of any significant concerns, providing suggestions for improvement.
• Completes records and reports accurately and timely.
• Attends meetings as required.
• Assumes other duties as assigned.
• Ensures that the work area is clean, secure, and well-maintained.
• Completes special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent certification.
• Previous experience in warehouse shipping and receiving process and documentation.
• Knowledge of inventory and shipping procedures.
• Excellent computer skills and ability to use and learn multiple internal systems.
• Experience with inbound and outbound shipping documentation.
• Maintains a helpful and professional attitude and appearance.
• Ability to speak, read, and write English.
• Ability to work with a team and be flexible with work schedule.
