Shipping Clerk - 2nd Shift

Job Title: Shipping Clerk Shift: 2nd Shift (2:30pm -1:00am Monday - Thursday) Reports To: Shipping Manager Department: Shipping Location: Mason, Ohio General Function: To ensure all outgoing parts are correctly packaged and labeled as required by customer instructions. Ensure all documentation involved with shipping is accurate. Job Duties Billing of all outgoing product to the customerFollowing all package instructions as required per customer; to include correct bar code labeling, correct quantity, wrap, and band as necessaryVerify product for proper tagsProper use of wrapper and bander; following instructions to ensure safetyCoordinate shipping/dock employees work in an efficient mannerResponsible for keeping brush line stocked with cardboard, skids, crates, and basketsEnsure tow motor is in safe working condition, completing check sheet and forwarding documentation to maintenanceLoading trucks for shipments and accurately recording load listsUnload trucks and accurately recording receipt of material/product. Verify trailers are safe before loading or unloadingAssist production in moving material and emptying scrap tubsEnsure material and parts are in proper locationsEnsure proper documentation for accurate inventoryAll other duties as assigned by management Other Requirements Possess a valid tow motor operator’s license issued by the companyBasic computer skills using M2M software and the use of hand scannersMust be available to work overtime, including weekends as required Working Conditions: Environment includes the plant, shipping office, dock, in and out of trailers, outside of plant and warehouse (separate location). Standing, walking, sitting, and driving tow motors throughout the working day, capable of lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, reaching, and some stooping up to 40 lbs.
