About the role

Laudisi is the company behind Smokingpipes.com, Peterson of Dublin, Caldwell Cigars and several other niche brands. The Shipping Associate role is the final checkpoint before orders reach detail‑oriented customers who notice every packaging detail. You will help maintain the high accuracy that earns reviews like “I ordered 100 different items and there wasn’t a single mistake.” The position is seasonal, full‑time (40 hrs/week) from October 1 to February 28, covering the company’s busiest period, including holiday peaks. You’ll work indoors, be part of a team that values precision, and receive training to meet the same standards as all employees.

Responsibilities

  • Pull, pack, and ship orders with high accuracy.
  • Accurately weigh, package, and label loose tobacco to tight standards.
  • Keep the shipping area organized when things slow down.
  • Work as part of a team that cares about details.
  • Use web‑based scheduling software to manage your schedule and shipping tasks.

Requirements

  • Reliability: on time, on site, able to work days and some weekends.
  • Availability for the full term (Oct 1 – Feb 28), including the holiday peak.
  • Ability to stay organized, follow procedures, and maintain a clean workspace.
  • Curiosity about pipes, cigars, or other deep‑hobby worlds where minutiae matter.
  • Comfort being on your feet and lifting up to 30 lbs regularly.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a criminal background check.
  • Intolerance for sloppiness – notice and fix issues.

Schedule

Closed on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day; availability required all other periods.
