Shipping Associate - $23.25 p/hr (10PM Start)

About the role
This position fills orders, counts, loads, and unloads product on incoming trailers according to the shipping schedule. The role is very physical and requires the ability to exert the force necessary to use a hand truck to transport stacked products weighing up to 400 pounds a distance of up to 300 feet continuously throughout the day into and out of transport trucks, up and down 30-degree slopes. It also requires the ability to stoop, bend, and lift product containers weighing 20 pounds from floor level up to 7-1/2 feet.
Responsibilities
- Ensures that product received from plant or other plants is recorded correctly.
- Loads and unloads to appropriate distribution area to ensure that shipping schedules are met.
- Maintains cleanliness of work area.
- Performs other duties as directed by supervisor.
- Ensures compliance with all company policies and procedures (EEO, Sexual Harassment, Safety, Sarbanes Oxley, etc.).
- Fulfills work schedules, adheres to attendance policies, and follows other applicable operating rules, policies, and procedures.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED.
- Demonstrated ability to read, comprehend, and record information applicable to the job.
- One year of shipping or related experience (preferred).
