Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in modulation of samples according to written specifications. This includes working with microbiology samples that may be considered “dangerous goods”.
- Assist in the transportation, stock control, warehousing, and monitoring of all goods in and out of the warehouse.
- Assess and monitor daily job functions, ensuring the provision of quality services in a cost effective/efficient manner.
- Participate in ongoing process improvement activities and other related activities.
- Clean, straighten, organize, and rotate stock items to maximize efficiency and cost effectiveness.
- Be accountable for both quality and quantity of output.
- Strong reliance on coordination of activities, as well as good planning skills and judgement, are essential to meet deadlines.
- Must be able to respond to events and issues that threaten the productivity schedule and/or quality of operation, as well as the health and safety of team members.
- Assist in the unloading, unpacking, and verifying of incoming samples and supplies. This would include organizing either the shipping of or receipt and delivery of product to and from the facility, with focus on accuracy, efficiency, and time management.
- Recognize and notify the Fulfillment Coordinator of problems such as damages, shortages, and non-conformance to specifications.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Minimum Qualifications:
- - High School Diploma or Equivalent
- - General knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite
- Preferred Qualifications:
- - 1-year of experience in shipping/production environment
- Strong organizational skills
- Up-to-date computer skills
- Ability to multitask and work independently
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to be tactful and diplomatic with customers, outside organizations, and coworkers
- Ability to work well with people in a team environment
- Ability to work in a variety of environmental temperatures
