What You'll Be Doing
- Manage the shipping and receiving process to include but not be limited to staging, loading / unloading product.
- Oversee stock and warehouse inventory maintaining computer database into automated shipping / receiving system and recordkeeping for inventory.
- Determine or fulfill customer request for methods of shipping, ensuring timely and accurate input of all freight information utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates; notify carriers and arrange for pickups in a timely manner.
- Prepare shipments, utilizing correct containers and proper packing material to ensure proper transportation without damage.
- Verify computer inventory by performing physical inventory counts as needed.
- Unpack and examine incoming shipments, reject damaged items, record shortages and correspond with shippers and vendors to rectify damages and shortages.
- Operate lift trucks and / or hand trucks to move and store equipment and stock, some manual lifting required.
- Develop, implement, and track effectiveness of quality improvement processes.
- Receive and record materials / items received placing appropriate markings on product with identifying information to ensure accurate customer requisition filling of work (customer) orders.
- Perform inventory control – monitor and replenish current products and materials and deplete obsolete materials; accurately post to inventory records in computer tracking system.
- Prepare all inventory and stock reports.
- Other duties / responsibilities as required.

What We Are Looking For
- Knowledge of shipping / receiving process, routes and rates; inventory processes and controls.
- Experienced in mechanical repairs either by training and / or experience.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong basic math skills with a focus on accuracy and detail orientation.
- Computer literate in Microsoft Windows, Word and Excel.
- Operate automated shipping systems / inventory management systems.
- Experienced by work history and / or by formal training in forklift, lift truck and / or hand truck operation with full knowledge of all safety protocols.
- Able to communicate and interact effectively with team leaders and managers.
- Strong organizational skills demonstrated through prior work record.
- Flexible to the demands of the team, department, and company needs as a whole and to the customer.
- Able to handle multiple tasks under the pressure of timelines.
- Flexibility and a willingness to undertake greater responsibility as business planning may necessitate.
