Shipping and Receiving Technician

About the role

This position involves shipping or receiving products and entering related information into the shipping or receiving program and log.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift, crane and Rico safely.
• Enter loads into the system using basic computer skills.
• Document all shipments and loads received.
• Document daily equipment checklists in a timely manner.
• Communicate with outside carriers and assist them in accommodating their needs promptly.
• Work collaboratively with other employees to meet deadlines.
• Be flexible to schedule changes to support business needs.
• Take lunch breaks between the 5th hour of work and punch in and out for lunches.
• Be able to work independently without supervision.

Requirements

• Able to adhere to company policies, rules, and regulations as outlined in the employee handbook.
• Must be certified in-house for forklift, crane, and Rico operations.
• Maintain a good safety record to operate equipment.
• Complete bay location change forms on a daily basis.
• Keep the work area clean and orderly by the end of each workday.
