Key Responsibilities

Shipping Operations

  • Supervise daily shipping activities to ensure on-time delivery of customer orders and internal transfers.
  • Verify shipment accuracy, proper documentation, labeling, and packaging requirements.
  • Coordinate with transportation providers and carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries.
  • Monitor shipping performance metrics and resolve shipping discrepancies.

Receiving Operations

  • Direct daily receiving activities for raw materials, purchased components, and other incoming goods.
  • Verify receipts against purchase orders and packing documentation.
  • Inspect incoming materials for quality, damage, and quantity discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with Purchasing, Production, and Quality departments to resolve receiving issues.
  • Ensure prompt system transactions and material availability for production.

Inventory Management

  • Support inventory management initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, train, coach, and develop warehouse personnel.
  • Assign daily work responsibilities and manage employee performance.
  • Promote a positive, engaged, and accountable work environment.
  • Assist with staffing, scheduling, attendance management, and cross-training activities.

Safety & Compliance

  • Enforce all safety regulations, warehouse procedures, and company policies.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and safety meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA requirements and company standards.
  • Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions when necessary.

Education And Experience

Required

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, or inventory operations.
  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory or team leadership experience.
  • Experience utilizing ERP, MRP, or inventory management systems.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred

  • Associate's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field.
  • Manufacturing environment experience.
  • Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement experience.
  • Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.

Supervisor Responsibility

This position directly supervises Shipping, Receiving, Warehouse, and Material Handling personnel and is responsible for employee development, scheduling, performance management, and day-to-day operational oversight.
