Shipping and Receiving Lead
About the Role
We are looking for a Shipping and Receiving Lead to join our Facilities and Workplace Operations team at our Santa Clara headquarters. Reporting to the Workplace Experience Sr. Manager in our People & Culture Organization, you will own the end-to-end logistical integrity of our campus back-of-house operations while remaining fluid and responsive to the needs of our broader facilities environment. Grounded in a zero-trust mindset and a commitment to mindful stewardship, you will protect corporate assets, eliminate lobby clutter, and directly support internal neighborhoods through cross-functional excellence. This is a dynamic, high-impact role requiring technical precision in logistics, compliance enforcement, and hands-on flexibility across a 300,000 sq ft campus footprint.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily central mailroom and loading dock operations, enforcing digital intake scanning via Envoy and securing high-value technical assets inside badge-restricted cabinets to ensure SOC2 Type II and ISO 27001 compliance
- Manage centralized shipping and receiving operations, logging and sorting incoming USPS mail, parcels, and carrier packages into departmental folders for efficient employee pickup
- Partner cross-functionally with R&D Lab Managers to handle heavy freight, execute dock de-trashing, conduct damage inspections, and enforce strict HazMat isolation protocols
- Provide flexible facilities support across campus, including MPR room flips, furniture reconfigurations, corporate event logistics, and internal desk or team office relocations
- Conduct building floor audits to log work orders, monitor facility maintenance needs, partner with day porters/vendors, and coordinate the physical setup of workplace fit-up assets
Qualifications
- Demonstrated curiosity and active exploration of AI tools, with a proven history of integrating new technologies to enhance daily workflows and augment problem-solving
- 3+ years of experience in corporate logistics, shipping/receiving operations, or facilities support roles
- Full-time on-site presence Monday-Friday in Santa Clara, CA, with the physical capability to stand/walk for extended periods, operate material handling equipment, and lift up to 50 lbs
- Proven track record utilizing digital workplace applications, mailroom intake portals, cloud-based access control interfaces, or Integrated Workplace Management Systems
- High adaptability and willingness to execute general building maintenance and facilities support tasks outside of standard shipping duties
- Sound judgment in maintaining visual privacy boundaries, protecting PII on asset labels, and handling sensitive corporate property
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience working directly within strict information security compliance frameworks such as SOC2 Type II or ISO 27001
- Professional certifications in safe material handling, hazard communication, or logistics management
Skills
- Act like an owner with a bias for action and integrity
- Thrive in ambiguity and view evolving priorities as opportunities to build stability and security
- Problem-solver with a focus on resolving complex logistical challenges
- High-trust collaborator who values transparent communication and constructive feedback
- Customer-obsessed with deep empathy for internal teams, visiting clients, and external couriers
