About the role
The Shipping & Receiving Clerk plays a key role in supporting the flow of materials throughout Noble-X by receiving, inspecting, storing, and shipping products and components. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, preparing shipments, and ensuring materials are delivered safely and efficiently to internal and external customers.
Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials, components, and supplies against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Process packing slips and shipping documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- Pick, package, label, and prepare customer orders for shipment.
- Clean, deburr, inspect, and package manufactured parts to meet customer and quality requirements.
- Load and unload trucks safely using forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Transport raw materials, finished goods, and work-in-process inventory throughout the facility.
- Stock shelves and maintain organized storage locations for materials, supplies, and finished goods.
- Process inventory transactions and maintain accurate inventory records within the ERP system.
- Conduct cycle counts and assist with maintaining inventory accuracy.
- Work closely with the Sales and Credit departments to support customer orders, shipment requirements, and documentation needs.
- Coordinate with production, purchasing, and customer service teams to ensure material availability and on-time delivery.
- Maintain shipping, receiving, and inventory records and documentation.
- Follow all safety policies and procedures while maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient work environment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, inventory control, manufacturing, or logistics preferred.
- Forklift certification or the ability to obtain certification required.
- Ability to safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Basic computer skills and experience using ERP, inventory management, or shipping systems preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy when processing inventory, packing slips, and shipping documentation.
- Ability to read and interpret work orders, packing slips, bills of lading, and other shipping and receiving documents.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, reaching, and material handling throughout the shift.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Ability to work overtime as needed to meet customer and production requirements.
